About
The Story Behind the Creature
Chemical Creature
I am many things held together by darkness and hope. Chemical Creature is not just a name — it is the truest version of who I am. I create because I have to. I find beauty in the shadows, sound in the silence, and meaning in the places most people walk past. There is something deeply personal in every piece of art I make, every note I play, every animal I care for. Life has not always been easy, and the darkness is real — but so is the light that refuses to go out. I believe in creating fiercely, caring deeply, and keeping going no matter what. This is my world. You are welcome in it.
Art
My art lives in the tension between opposing worlds — life and death, beauty and decay, darkness and wonder. Working primarily in graphite, colored pencil, and pastel, I explore themes of juxtaposition that challenge the viewer to hold two truths at once. I earned a Gold Key Award from the Cleveland Institute of Art — one of the most prestigious honors in scholastic art — and completed a minor in Studio Art at The Ohio State University. Every piece I create is an act of honesty about the world as I see it.
Music
My music is built from the same raw material as my life — emotion that has nowhere else to go. Rooted in emo, punk, and alternative, my sound is honest, unpolished in the best way, and unafraid of the dark. I am a Cleveland Music Award Nominee, a recognition that means the world to me in a city whose music scene shaped who I am. More is always coming. Keep listening.
Animals &
Veterinary Medicine
My love for animals is not separate from my creativity — it is part of the same heart. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with a Biosciences specialization from The Ohio State University. My time volunteering in the Cleveland APL's veterinary clinic gave me hands-on experience in shelter medicine and deepened my understanding of what it means to advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves. My cat, Jackal, is an APL adoptee — living proof that rescue changes lives on both sides of the equation. Every creature deserves care. Every life matters.
